Angelina Jolie Pitt kommer att regissera Netflix projekt "First They Killed My Father: A Daughter of Cambodia Remembers".
A Daughter of Cambodia är skriven av Loung Un.
First They Killed My Father: A Daughter of Cambodia Remembers is a 2000 non-fiction book written by Loung Ung, a Cambodian author and survivor of the Pol Pot regime. It is a personal account of her experiences during the Khmer Rouge years. - Wikipedia
Detta är vad Angelina har sagt:
“I was deeply affected by Loung’s book,” Jolie Pitt said. “It deepened forever my understanding of how children experience war and are affected by the emotional memory of it. And it helped me draw closer still to the people of Cambodia, my son’s homeland. It is a dream come true to be able to adapt this book for the screen, and I’m honored to work alongside Loung and filmmaker Rithy Panh.”
Filmen kommer att släppas ut i slutet av 2016.
